What is Pelvic Physical Therapy?
My additional training in this specialty allows me to use my knowledge of pelvic floor and pelvic girdle physiology to help you restore optimal/ or pain-free function throughout your entire body.
What is my approach?
While I am here to guide you, I am a believer in the body’s innate ability to heal itself. My job is to educate you, provide tools and resources to guide you back to wholeness, long-term self-care, self-awareness, and maintenance.
I focus on the mind-body connection and integrate several tools to tailor the treatment plan specifically for you. I will use methods such as breathwork, exercise, and stretching prescription, myofascial release, joint mobilization, soft tissue mobilization, and medical yoga.
I strongly believe in a multi-disciplinary approach and I am happy to provide you with information on other care providers that would be beneficial to your process such as: chiropractic, nutritionist, OB/midwife, sex therapist, massage therapists, acupuncture, etc.

Pelvic PT FAQ’s
What will the evaluation be like?
The evaluation will start by learning all about you and listening to your symptoms, medical history, review of your intake form, and the reason why you are seeking therapy. After I get to know you better we will move to the physical exam portion which entails a full systems review.
I will do a movement analysis and also check your alignment, strength, balance, etc. If you are comfortable we will continue to an internal exam. Afterward, we will get started on treatment and action plan to help address your concerns and goals.
Is this similar to a gyno exam?
No! no stirrups, no gown, and no speculum. I will also maintain eye contact with you throughout the evaluation so that you feel safe and connected. For internal exams, I use one gloved finger for insertion, and this is only if you are comfortable and consenting.
How long will I need to be treated?
This depends! Every patient is different, after your evaluation I can give you a better snapshot of how many sessions we might need.
Do you accept insurance?
No, I am an out-of-network provider. I am happy to provide a super bill that can be presented to your insurance company for reimbursement.
